Q1: Let’s start with introductions! Could you tell our community about your background, and about the team working on DAFI?
Zain: Sure thing.
I’m Zain - I’m a founder at DAFI Protocol. My experience in the industry started as keynote speaker at the largest Blockchain events since 2018 - as well as being a market analyst. I have worked with institutions & universities in England to introduce Blockchain & Bitcoin . The DAFI team is diverse - we have team members from around the world in 7 different countries, from mixed backgrounds of academia, traditional finance, and experience onboard several well-established projects. We’re focused on making real change and showing the power of DAFI.
Q2: So what is DAFI all about, and what problems are you solving?
Zain: DAFI was initially a research concept in 2019, as a way to better design PoS, Mining and Staking models. This came to life in our Super Staking, the first Staking 2.0 product which rewards users directly through protocol growth. Our focus moving forwards is to enable any protocol & token to adopt DAFI within their network, to replace existing tokens with dTokens to offer better yield & rewards in their Staking, Liquidity or even Gaming applications - with GameFi being a large focus for DAFI going forwards.
We think of DAFI as the Internet of Staking. Every token can create a dToken and use them to enable better rewards in staking and gaming incentives. Simply, DAFI reinvents protocol rewards.
Q3: And we also hear DAFI is also building a MetaFi platform for Gaming, could you share any details on this?
Zain: This is something we’ve been developing behind the scenes, it’s pretty new and we’ve not shared too much info on it yet.
Briefly - we’ve been working on a platform for in-game assets to be staked, in return for higher rewards for Gamers.
Imagine it as a MetaFi platform for gamers to own the games & the profit, and it plugs in to most existing & new games out there.
More details will be shared on this when it’s ready, but some interesting stuff is being cooked right now.
Q4: Now. With a view to reinvent protocol rewards, you must have a lot of partnerships! Can you tell us more about them?
Zain: We have over 30 partners we are working with both to integrate our dToken technology, including some industry giants! As you can imagine, that list will continue to grow.
This month, we’ve celebrated our first integrations going live, in Polinate, Polygen and Nitro League, marking 7 live SuperPools out there on the DAFI Protocol.
Q5: What’s next for DAFI? What gets you excited?
Zain: 2022 will be the year of adoption & new products, with more partners strengthening their ecos by integrating the DAFI protocol and implementing dTokens.
As for what excites us, in January we have the start of DAFI Nova, where DAFI Stakers are made compatible with multiple launchpads, so you can win entry to exciting IDOs of upcoming projects or win NFTs to use in Gaming and P2E platforms, just for staking your DAFI tokens.
Our cross-chain dBridge will also be going live in January, bridging DAFI & the protocol to multiple chains. We’re all about building more utility for DAFI - we’re looking forwards with new products around MetaFi - we have really innovative ideas for the community coming soon - so it’s probably a good idea to join the community now.
