Several crypto projects that launched their products this year, have used airdrops to reward their communities. BloodLoop, the Avalanche network-based gaming platform, recently launched its play-to-airdrop program on Epic Games Store. This write-up explores BloodLoop’s airdrop strategy and eligibility.

BloodLoop, an Avalanche network-based shooter, in partnership with the Epic Games Store has launched its play-to-airdrop program. Note that the 5v5 hero shooter is now trending on Epic Games Store, making the game reach more than 75 million active players per month. BloodLoop’s success is justified considering that various leading crypto-related companies such as Neo Tokyo Alex Becker, Ava Labs and Seedify support it. Ava Labs and Seedify played a critical role in conducting BloodLoop’s public and private sale as well as the IDO. 

Some game lovers and crypto enthusiasts can now register and login on the BloodLoop web platform to enjoy the adventure. The players earn points when they complete various tasks which include daily and weekly quests. In the end, the players will be ranked based on the points they would have accumulated to determine the rewards they will get. The BloodLoop team has set aside millions of the BLS token, its native cryptocurrency, to reward some users as free token distribution. As the following screenshot indicates, many tokens will be distributed to eligible users.

Although the players are free to participate in different quests on the BloodLoop gaming platform they will only be able to access the server for a limited time. In fact, that web3 gaming platform is accessible between 10am-3pm and 7pm-12am UTC. In a related development the BLS token was launched on 10 June. 

BloodLoop is not the first web3 game to use that marketing strategy. In March Nyan Heroes used a similar strategy after its Epic Games store debut. Its innovative approach pushed it to become one of the 30 top games on the store with over 200,000 downloads. ## How the Users Participated in the Airdrop
In order to participate in the play-to-airdrop program, the players needed to register their email addresses and [link their MetaMask wallets to the platform](https://www.gate.io/blog_detail/2035/how-metamask-work "link their MetaMask wallets to the platform"). Next, the platform would send a verification email. It is important to note that the Beta stage is only available on computers. 

Apart from completing the quests the users who report bugs and create content about the game will also get a share of the play-to-earn airdrop campaign. ## BloodLoop’s Gaming Approach: How it Differs from Other Web3 Gaming Protocols
Basically, BloodLoop is a web3 gaming protocol that incorporates different blockchain technologies. For example, the game has adopted the NFT and cryptocurrency technologies. As such, the players have full control of their assets within the BloodLoop blockchain gaming ecosystem. As a result, the players use the characters, weapons, and skins in the way they want. They can trade or sell them to generate additional income. 

To meet the demanding needs of the present day web3 gaming the protocol has advanced blockchain capabilities including the rewriting of the <a href="/price/ethereum-eth" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Ethereum</a> Virtual Machine within its system. This approach enhances player engagement and creates a sustainable and player driven digital economy. 

There are a number of gaming modes that include the Primary Game Mode as well as Deathmatch and Free-for-All. However, the central attraction of BloodLoop game is the Energy War mode which is a strategic 5vs5 match where the teams battle to control the stable exotic matter. More importantly, BloodLoop gained much mileage due to its connection with Avalanche which was one of the blockchains that gained much attention at the Game Developers Conference (GDC 2024) in San Francisco. Avalanche was one of the largest exhibitors at the conference where it showcased web3 games on its network that include MEGAWEAPON, Shrapnel, BloodLoop, Petopia, Providence and Off the Grid.
