According to Mars Finance, European Commission Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis said in an interview with CNBC on Friday that the recent U.S. court ruling on the legality of the Trump administration's reciprocal tariffs has added another layer of uncertainty to an already complex trade environment. He stated, "The current negotiating environment is full of variables, and the situation is changing rapidly." Dombrovskis reiterated that the EU is committed to reaching a negotiation agreement with the U.S., "because the relationship between the EU and the U.S. is very good. The trade relationship between the EU and the U.S. is the largest in the world, thus there are many economic interests at stake." He also described the tariff situation as "urgent" due to the negative economic impact it has on both the EU and the U.S.
