Bitcoin early collectors redeem Casascius physical coins and achieve a 2000000% return rate.
Gate News bot message, Bitcoin Talk forum user John Galt recently redeemed a Casascius physical Bitcoin bar, successfully cashing out 100 BTC from it, worth over 10 million dollars at current market capitalization. John Galt revealed that the purchase price of this physical coin in 2012 was 500 dollars.
Casascius physical coins were issued by Mike Caldwell in 2011 and contain actual Bitcoin private keys inside. The project ceased production in 2013 due to U.S. regulatory requirements and has since become a rare collectible in the market. According to statistics, over 10,000 Casascius physical coins have been redeemed, with more than 18,000 still unused.
