According to Agence France-Presse on December 7th, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in the UK, stated that the Syrian government forces withdrew from positions about 10 kilometers from the capital Damascus in the suburbs of the capital. The report stated that Rami Abdul Rahman, the head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said that the government forces withdrew from towns in the southwestern suburbs of Damascus, which are controlled by local armed groups and are 10 kilometers away from the capital.
