Polygon Labs: Towards a Multi-Chain Future
Polygon Labs has just announced Agglayer CDK (, previously known as Polygon CDK ), which is evolving into a multi-chain system. The introduction of the CDK OP Stack configuration with native Agglayer connectivity brings a breakthrough. Developers can now launch a high-performance, low-cost OP Stack chain and connect to Agglayer without incurring fees. This enhances zero-knowledge proof efficiency.
Old and New Interaction
The OP Stack configuration currently coexists with the old Erigon CDK, supporting custom code and security with ZK. This is a necessary parallel step in the technical transition process. This flexibility provides many options for optimizing application development on the cryptocurrency platform.
Expand Chain Capability
Polygon Labs is also considering adding chains like Arbitrum Orbit and ABC Stack to Agglayer CDK. This is a strategic move to transform Agglayer into a robust native chain system. Developers will have additional tools to enhance and expand their ecosystem.
