2025.8.12 US Stock Market Overview
1. VIXY fell by 4.26%, closing at 38.25.
2. The three major U.S. stock indices all rose by more than 1%. The S&P 500 index rose by 1.13%, closing at 6445.76 points; the NASDAQ Composite index rose by 1.39%, closing at 21681.9 points; the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 1.1%, closing at 44458.61 points.
3. Technology giants regained upward momentum on Tuesday. Apple rose by 1.09%, Microsoft by 1.43%, Amazon by 0.08%, NVIDIA surged by 0.6% to set a new closing high, Alphabet-A increased by 1.16%, Tesla by 0.53%, and Meta soared by 3.15% to reach a new high.
4. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index rose by 1.49% on Tuesday. Alibaba rose by 3.19%, JD.com rose by 3.01%, Baidu rose by 2.14%, Pinduoduo rose by 3%, Bilibili fell by 1.17%, NIO fell by 8.96%, NetEase rose by 1.62%, Futu Holdings rose by 3.56%, Li Auto fell by 0.33%, Xpeng Motors fell by 6.08%, and Tencent Music rose by 11.85% after releasing its earnings.
5. Q2 revenue far exceeded expectations, and Southeast Asian internet giant Sea surged over 19%.
6. Circle ( released its first earnings report since going public in the U.S., with revenue growth exceeding market expectations. The quarterly revenue reached $658 million, a year-on-year increase of 53%. The stock opened 17% higher but closed up 1.27%. After hours, the company announced it would issue an additional 10 million shares, currently down over 6%.
7. The second pancake has strongly突破 4600 USD, with a 24h increase of over 8%, and is less than 5% away from its ATH.
